Chaos Circles
For 60 String Orchestra ca.21 mins Commissioned by Americas Society, New York City (USA)
The piece can be adapable for a different format.
The cathedral’s acoustics are an extension of the music—every note should expand into the space, like circles rippling outward. Allow the resonance to complete each phrase before moving forward, letting sound breathe and dissolve naturally. Intensity should build with purpose, always balanced by release. Some moments demand precision and structure, while others invite fluidity—trust both.
The movement of sound is a series of spiraling circles, resonating with purpose. At times, we feel as if we are falling, weightless; at others, we are held in suspension, embraced by the space itself. Above all, listen—the sound, the room, and the echoes are all part of the performance.
